We promote Gospel Values at St Winefride’s.

As a Catholic School we actively promote values, virtues and ethics that shape our pupils’ character and moral perspective, through the teachings of the Church. We are confident that our continued focus on the Gospel Values will give our students the necessary awareness of what it means to be a good citizen, following the example of Jesus and trusting God. We promote the following Gospel Value’s each half term. The staff in class choose a winner for the Gospel Value award each week and this is presented in our Monday Celebration of the Word.

Through our curriculum, we aim to develop qualities in our children in line with the Jesuit pupil profile. These aspirations were agreed with the other Flintshire Catholic Primary schools through our collaborative planning.

Grateful for their own gifts, for the gift of other people, and for the blessings of each day; and generous with their gifts, becoming men and women for others.

Attentive to their experience and to their vocation; and discerning about the choices make and the effects of those choice.
