Broughton Amateur Dramatics Group (BADG) was founded in 1974 by a group of local theatre enthusiasts led by President Dave Coppack. What began as a small community drama group quickly grew into a thriving organisation dedicated to bringing quality amateur theatre to audiences across the local area.
For more than five decades, BADG has provided opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to take part in the performing arts, both on stage and behind the scenes. From classic plays and comedies to musicals and pantomimes, the group has staged a wide variety of productions, becoming an important part of the local community. The group is run entirely by volunteers and BADG has always been built on the enthusiasm, commitment and talent of its members. Generations of performers, directors, musicians, technicians and supporters have contributed to the group's continued success, creating lasting friendships and memorable productions along the way.
Today, BADG continues to uphold the values established in 1974 and has become an award winning society. The group remains to encouraging participation in the arts, fostering creativity, and bringing people together through a shared love of theatre. We look forward to inspiring future generations and creating many more years of outstanding community theatre, so "come join the spotlight and take centre stage"
