Join BADG
BADG welcomes all adults and young people from school year 6 (age 10) upwards. We are always keen for new members to join us. Whether you are a budding actor/actress, singer, dancer, director or if you are interested in publicity, front of house, make up, costumes or staging, we would love to meet you. All we ask is you bring your enthusiasm and sense of humour.
How to Join
If you are interested in joining us you can either drop in to a rehearsal, send us an email or contact us by telephone to find out more. We will reply as soon as we possibly can.
Rehearsals
We generally rehearse from September onwards, at Broughton Junior School, on a Wednesday evening around 7.30-9.30pm and a Friday 8-10pm. We sometimes utilise other rehearsal venues depending on the needs of the production and have more rehearsals during the actual production week.
Productions
We traditionally stage two main productions a year.
A pantomime in January (6 performances) and a play in May (2 performances).
We also compete in 2 festivals usually in April each year.
We have also been involved in collaborations with other community groups, Broughton Carnival, Showcase evenings and murder mystery. Broughton is twinned with Auzeville-Tolosane, France.
BADG have been lucky enough to take two very successful pantomime productions to France where we received a very warm welcome.
